About ChiiThorn

ChiiThorn started in March 2023 as part of Fantastyczny Dom Kultury - a joint cultural initiative of the Artus Manor Culture Center and the THORN Association of Fans of Games and Fantasy. It is the very first section of that association.

The club's main goal is to popularize and promote mahjong (mainly the Japanese variant, riichi mahjong) across the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. To that end, we run meetups, demos and lessons, and we organize tournaments and trips.

The club is open to everyone interested, regardless of skill level - there's a place for seasoned veterans and complete newcomers alike. We're happy to teach the basics, and then polish every "rough diamond" that joins us into mahjong brilliance.

We also travel to and represent the club at tournaments organized by the European Mahjong Association (EMA), both in Poland and abroad.
